“JR” Russell is a retired Navy Captain. After flying jets off aircraft carriers for 30 years, he turned his passion for flying into performing magic. JR started performing as a kid and turned to performing professionally after retiring from the Navy. 

JR is a multi-talented performer combining magic, comedy and fun for all ages. JR specializes in

He’s performed around the world but now makes Whidbey Island and the Pacific Northwest his home for performing magic.

JR is a member of the Society of American Magicians, The International Brotherhood of Magicians. JR is also one of the award-winning instructors of the Discover Magic Program, where he teaches life skills to children using magic!
